The Malahide United AFC Annual Nippers Academy cinema morning took place on Saturday 24th of January at the ODEON Cinemas in Coolock. 250 football heroes from Malahide United Nippers Academy, Girls Academy, U8 and U9 teams watched Disney heroes in action at a premiere of ‘BIG HERO 6’.
The biggest screen at the ODEON Coolock was filled with excited footballers. The children donned their club tops and did their club and families proud by behaving exemplary. The morning ran seamlessly like a well-oiled machine because of the hard work by volunteer coaches and managers and their continued dedication and support to the players and the club.
Volunteers are not paid, not because they are worthless but because they are priceless.
The ‘Nippers Cinema Morning’ is a well-anticipated and a well-loved day by the children in the club. It has been a successful event for many years now and our thanks and gratitude go to the supporters of this event who continue to make it possible – Terry Molloy of Warner Brothers Ireland, Peter Duffy of Shamrock Foods, John O’Connor of Tayto and to the ODEON Cinemas at Coolock.
The Nippers Academy and Girls Academy will be back for football business this Saturday 31st January. Anyone interested in joining the Nippers Academy or the Girls Academy please view our website for details and application forms.
